OTLC receives the 2008-2009 Physical Education Canada Secondary School Recognition Award for quality daily programming in physical education. This award is presented to schools that offer compulsory Physical Education courses that are exceptional and enhanced by intramural and extracurricular activities. Schools must meet their provincial curriculum for Physical Education, as well as the criteria established by Physical Education Canada in order to assess how well the school is achieving Quality Daily Physical Education. The Quality Daily Physical Education Recognition Award identifies, recognizes and encourages excellence in school physical education programs. Physical and Health Education Staff: Mr. R. Lockwood (Department Head), Mr. T. Poulsen, Mr. S. Bergin and Mrs. S. Rush.
