Requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Certificate

 

The Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) will be granted on request to students who leave school before earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma provided they have earned a minimum of 14 credits distributed as follows:

What do you need for your OSSC?

Students must earn the following compulsory credits to obtain the Ontario Secondary School Certificate

7 Compulsory Credits
2
English (1 credit per grade)
1
Mathematics
1
Science
1
Canadian History or Canadian Geography
1
The Arts or Technology
1
Health and Physical Education
The remaining 7 credits may be chosen from any of the other credit courses offered.
