Dear Parents/Guardians of OTLC Students
It is my pleasure to warmly welcome you back to another exciting school year, and to invite you to join the OTLC School Council.
School Councils are advisory and consultation bodies that provide input and guidance to school staff on issues and concern of relevance to their particular school. There are no membership fees, and the only requirement is an interest in your child’s education at OTLC!
We meet the first Tuesday each month in the School’s library. All parents are automatically members and are entitled to contribute to and attend school council meetings. Traditionally, the OTLC School Council has not participated in fundraising activities however we have supported grant applications that in turn have had a positive impact on our school community.
In 2008-20008 the Council developed three overreaching goals that guided
our activities:
-Transition and Building Partnerships
-Communications – Internal and External
-Bringing the outside in
